P-Day #2 11/17/2014

Dear Momma,

Thank you so much for telling me about Great Grandpa Clark. It was definitely his time to go, and that's really special that he passed away on Veterans Day! I like what you said about Preston having his grandparents walking beside him because on Tuesday (Vet. Day) I definitely saw tons of miracles (which I will write about later on in this email)! I'm positive Grandpa Clark was there with me! I love the fact that when someone we love dies, it's not truly a "goodbye"! It's just a "see you later"! I love being able to share that with people that have no idea what happens after this life!

There's been no snow here! But instead of a true winter, we get a wind-ter! No snow, but lots and lots of wind!! Biking in it is really hard but really good exercise!

I didn't get a package yet but Saturday is the mission office P-Day so it should come today or tomorrow! My address is 6728 Dana, Mira Loma, CA 91752. You can send stuff straight to me, but sending it through the office is no big deal because it only adds on an extra day or two.

Yes, there are families out here that will help us! :) There's one family, the Budicas, that we spend a lot of time with! I think they're feeding us three times next week! And we're going there for Thanksgiving! Their son is in Florida on his mission. The families that we spend the most time with are usually the ones that have kids out on missions! So I hope you all are being super nice and helpful to the missionaries back home!! We also spend a lot of time with the Verdejos! They're this really cute older couple in their 80's who love having us over.

Our investigators are doing pretty well! Ignacio, Mark, and Terry are just SUPER stubborn and stuck in their ways so we pray every day for Heavenly Father to humble them! That sounds a little bit weird, but it's what they need in order to progress! So now for that miracle story I was talking about earlier! On my first day, I talked to this older lady who was out in her yard with a bunch of little kids. She starts talking to me in Spanish and I just freeze and look at Elder Taylor, and don't know what to say. So she runs in side and comes back out with a guy who's probably about thirty who starts talking to us. I ask him if we could come back and teach him and he says that would be great and he has a sister who is also meeting with the missionaries and was baptized just the other week! So for a week we keep trying to meet with him but we can never catch him when he's home! So finally, on Tuesday, we go over and meet up with him! We teach him the restoration, and he soaks it all in! He told us that he wants to read and pray to see if the BoM is true. We meet with him again on Wednesday, and he's like "Yeah, I already know that this is true!" Apparently Tuesday night, he prayed and asked to know if the BoM was true, and when he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw in the Introduction was "this is the most correct book". Isn't that crazy!?!? We're going back to teach him tonight and hopefully he's read more!

All right... now I'm going to try and answer your plethora of questions!!! :)
For lunch, we usually go home and make sandwiches, salads, etc.. Sometimes if we have meetings with other missionaries in the mornings, we will all go out and eat lunch together. We just have a room in Sis Smith's house, so we use her kitchen, but she isn't ever cooking at the times when we are so it works out pretty well. We've only had a couple days of no dog chases, but all the dogs that have chased us were just little Chihuahuas or mutts! I'm still thinking about Christmas stuff... A GPS would be super nice, but that's a kind of a lot.. Umm ties would be good.. I only brought eight and it gets kind of old after a while! I'll think more about anything I need/want and let you know! My companion hasn't had too many packages. I think he just got one in the past two weeks. We get along really well! we haven't had any problems yet, so that's good! He's super funny and easy going so it's not hard to get along with him. It's actually not that weird living with someone I don't know. Maybe it's just cause I'm so used to change and moving that it's super easy for me to adjust to new situations! I hope I answered all of your questions!!

I love you all and pray for you every day!!

Te quiero!

Elder Warren

p.s. I never realized how bad my Utah accent was until I got to Riverside!! It's pretty bad!!

(I totally forgot to put this in my email!!!)

Thanks Danielle for the letter! I'm going to write back today!!
