I cannot express my joy and excitement when Maddy brought the mail in and said we had a letter from Cole! It's been all of 5 days and I just can't stop wondering how he has been doing! So, as all of you experienced missionary families know, the first letter was amazing! It is short and sweet but it did it's job...set my mind at ease.
So, here it is in all it's tiny little glory!
Hi Family!
I’ve only been here for nine hours and I already love
it! It’s crazy how strong the spirit
is! My companion’s name is Elder Knight!
He’s great! We’re already really good
friends. The Elders in my room are all pretty
good. One kid’s a little strange, but I’m looking for the good things! In class today we taught an “investigator”
who recently lost his wife and best friend about Jesus Christ and His
Atonement. Even though he wasn't real I
couldn't help but care for him and I wanted him to know that Christ loves him
and suffered through the same feelings that he is. I’m so excited for the next two years! I can’t wait to get out in the field! I love you all!

a Zone Leader! And the pianist! (that all happened after I wrote the letter)
